Tip & Thou Shalt be Tipped!
Nickel in The Jar has a country feel. It’s dedicated to all the fine street musicians I have encountered in various parts of the globe. Tip them all, I say. Put some nickels in the jar! And speaking of tips, I am grateful for the virtual ones I have received at Musicoin etc. Be sure and tip the artists you like. They’ll always be grateful for the coin.
You can listen to Nickel in The Jar here. If you like it please leave a tip. There are some 5,000 independent musicians on Musicoin, offering a cornucopia of sounds in all genres. And all you have to do to support them is to listen free!
Nickel in the Jar
I don’t play this song for money,
I don’t play for praise.
And I don’t care if they don’t like it,
Gonna play it anyway.
And if you want to go that far,
Put a nickel in the jar…
Put a nickel in the jar.
I don’t work for the corporation
And the pittance that they pay.
I gotta satisfy my soul
And let my fingers play.
And if you want to go that far,
Put a nickel in the jar…
Put a nickel in the jar.
And I will sit here all day long
Strumming on my favourite song.
I don’t care if they don’t like it,
I don’t care what they say.
I don’t care if they don’t buy it,
Gonna play it anyway…
Gonna play it anyway.
I don’t wanna be the next big deal,
A puppet on a string.
I just play it cos I like it,
It don’t mean a thing.
I don’t play this song for money,
I don’t play for praise.
And I don’t care if they don’t like it,
Gonna play it anyway.
And if you want to go that far,
Put a nickel in the jar…
Put a nickel in the jar.
